UC DATA is UC Berkeley's principal archive of computerized social science and health statistics information and is a part of the University's Institute for the Study of Societal Issues. The focus of the UC DATA holdings is in the areas of Political, Social and Health Sciences and includes aggregate data, micro data and public opinion data.

UCB’s main library has an excellent webpage pointing researchers to Federal Government Statistics. The site is organized by subjects: general resources, business and economics, crime, education, environment, health, labor, population. Includes free sources and licensed databases.
The on-line edition contains all five volumes of the 2006 Millennial Edition, with essays and notes as .pdf files and tables as Excel filesall available for downloading. All UC employees and students have free access.
