The Economics Department has selected Sudarat (Bo) Ananchotikul from Phuket, Thailand as the recipient of the Shapiro Fellowship for Fall 2002. She graduated from Wellesley College, where she studied economics and mathematics. Bo's senior thesis advisor inspired in her an interest in international economics, which she hopes will be her area of specialization at Cal.
